This new cabling topology recently approved by the TIA association is a convenient and very simple alternative to the traditional method, which uses equipment outlets or typical RJ-45 modules as the termination point for horizontal cabling. The unique design of the MPTL link allows for quick, tool-less cable terminations under typical field conditions. Since this connector plugs directly into the network device, it is able to reduce a significant number of latent defects as well as installation issues while ensuring link integrity and performance.
